Financial Analyst :

DESCRIPTION: Our client, a major division of an international, Connecticut based Fortune 100 company, currently seeks a Financial Analyst to join their finance team. This position provides an exciting variety of responsibilities and objectives, including financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and reporting of key data to the Management Team for important decision-making.

Responsibilities include: perform variance analysis of selected materials, inventory components and other areas; report cost reduction performance versus forecasted initiatives; perform forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis for key metrics and financial measurement indicators on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis; formulate ideas for ways to increase efficiency and productivity; special analysis and projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting; 2-5 years of related experience; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills; strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Access and Excel) and other financial systems (knowledge of Hyperion and/or SAP a plus); strong desire to succeed.
